Meet the amazing DJs chosen so far – ready to bring their unique energy and tango magic to every tanda.

David Chester
from Worcester, Massachusetts
David has loved music his whole life. In his youth, he sang in choirs that toured Europe, and also was a choir director. Later in life, he discovered tango, and it became his passion. It wasn’t long before he got into DJing. David DJs at milongas and festivals across New England and beyond, playing his carefully crafted tandas. His favorite songs are the emotional songs that touch your soul, and are full of longing. However, he plays a wide variety of tango songs, from rhythmic to lyrical. He has even been known to play an alternative tanda when it fits the crowd. His goal is for people to leave tired, from dancing all night.
El Espejero
from Toronto, Canada
Igor “El Espejero” started dancing tango in 2011, and DJing in 2012. Since then he has been invited to play his music to over 450 milongas and major events in England, Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Czechia, Poland, Serbia, Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus, Ukraine, Turkey, North Cyprus, Greece, China, Taiwan, thirteen US states, and Argentina (Salon Canning and Club Fulgor, Buenos Aires), while actively DJing at various milonga venues and organizing own events in Toronto, the city of his residence.
His musical selection is firmly grounded in Golden Decade, with occasional, yet necessary departures into the naive warmth of Guardia Vieja sextetos and raw energy of a few carefully selected modern orquestas, while his style is influenced by the profound and sensual choices of the younger generation of Buenos Aires musicalizadors.
Igor says: “I believe that it is the dance floor that dictates the choices to the DJ, not the other way around. Thus, I neither program my music in advance of the event, nor I attempt to ‘educate’ or ‘challenge’ the dancers. My only goal is to deliver the best danceable music and abundant energy to the floor, from the first tanda to the last, without a single exception.”

Urszula Ulotka
from London, UK
Ula, originally from Poland, is now based in the UK. She fell in love with tango from the very first moment, but only the music documentary Café de los Maestros (2008) got her hooked. The music and culture drove her down the path of thinking and feeling music in a more holistic way. She started DJing in 2011 and since then she’s been an organizer and a DJ at various milongas and events in Poland, across Europe, the UK and the US. In her tango many of her loves come to play, her culinary background translates into treating the tandas like courses to shape the experience. Molding treats and carefully pairing cortinas as she pays attention to the level and energy of the people and floor. Seeing how the sound shapes and guides an experience is her skill set. Music has always been important for her as a means of transmitting emotions, taking dancers on a journey, building atmosphere and connecting. She plays the music that moves her as a dancer: intimate, dreamy, energetic, joyful, and elegant. Always in Djay mode even outside of the milonga, finding magical tandas, or special cortinas. The greatest joy for her is seeing people’s expressions evoke the same energy with which she cultivates and delivers her selection.

Our Pre-Milonga DJ:

Nanying Yin
from Boston, Massachusetts
Nanying became passionate about Argentine tango in Boston in 2008 and began DJing at the MIT Tango Club in 2012. Since then, he has DJed in the Boston area, New York, Portland, Shanghai, and Beijing. He has been an active contributor to the Boston tango community through DJing and hosting a variety of tango events.
As a tango dancer, Nanying is always seeking deep tango connection in every embrace. As a DJ, he brings that same intention to the dance floor—connecting dancers through beautiful tango music that inspires joy, passion, and love. He finds DJing especially rewarding when he sees happy faces on the floor and hears dancers share how the music brings them joy in every tanda.
Our alternative music DJs:
Julia Zemlyanikina
from Detroit, Michigan
I’ve been a tango DJ since 2021, spinning at milongas, marathons, and private events throughout the US and Canada. My musical taste spans both the golden age of tango and the rich world of alternative music. I love discovering unusual, emotionally charged, and danceable tracks that expand the boundaries of what tango can be.
At milongas I focus on building an atmosphere that keeps dancers inspired and energized — from the very first song to the last tanda. My goal is to take you on a journey where every piece invites connection, creativity, and movement on the dance floor.

Tiffany Wang
from Boston, Massachusetts
Boston based DJ Tiffany is a conservatory trained classical harpist and pianist. Tiffany’s love affair with the complex world of Argentine tango music started in 2017 when she stepped into her first tango class. She is a student of the great composers and orchestras of the Golden Age and is enchanted by the stories of how their lives and times influenced the development of this art form.
As a DJ, Tiffany enjoys using her musical sense and sensibility to create the most memorable and moving tandas in order to match the energy and feeling of the room.
When it comes to alternative tango, Tiffany is well known for weaving together tandas that that mesmerize dancers and transport them into a dreamlike state.
She finds it immensely rewarding to watch dancers create their own stories with her music and continues to learn from them in her DJ journey.
